OUR BEGINNING
The KEROSE story.
On March 1, 2021, my world shattered. I lost my childhood best friend—the person I thought I would grow old with—to gun violence.
The pain was unlike anything I had experienced in my 23 years of life. For months, I was drowning in grief. I cried uncontrollably, had vivid dreams of him, and felt completely lost.
Then, just 20 days later, as I was leaving my hometown after laying my friend to rest, I received another call: my grandfather had passed away. It was overwhelming. I stayed strong for my mother, who was breaking down, while inside I felt angry, broken, and emotionally suffocated.
- Keep drowning in pain.
- Channel that pain into something meaningful.
That is when the vision for KEROSE was born. I started asking myself: How can I honor the ones we have lost? How can their love live on through us?
I realized that we are the KEY to keeping their memory alive. My nickname has always been “Key.” Pair that with my favorite flower—the rose—and KEROSE was created.
KEROSE is a reminder that no matter what we go through—loss, heartbreak, or trauma—there is always light at the end of the tunnel. We are living proof of our loved ones’ legacy. We are the continuation of their love.
With love,
CEO Key
