Information we collect
Depending on how you use KEROSE, we may collect your name, email address, optional phone number, account preferences, optional KEROSE Care Check-In choice, and information you submit about a loved one. Memorial submissions may include names, important dates, relationships, stories, photographs, memories, awareness connections, and your confirmation that you have permission to share them. We also collect memories and optional photographs submitted for family tributes, plus limited technical information needed for security and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- Create and secure customer accounts.
- Review memorial stories and photographs privately before anything is published.
- Display a tribute or comment only after KEROSE approval.
- Send account, submission, welcome-offer, event, and remembrance communications.
- Respond to correction, removal, privacy, and support requests.
- Detect spam, misuse, and repeated automated submissions.
Memorial submissions
A submission is not published automatically. It remains in a private review area until KEROSE approves it. If approved, the loved one’s name, dates, story, selected photographs, awareness connections, and other approved remembrance details may become visible on the tribute directory. Photos added later through “Leave a Memory” also remain private until KEROSE approves them. Submitters should share only information and photographs they are authorized to provide.
Service providers
KEROSE uses trusted service providers to operate the website. Supabase provides account, database, and file-storage services; Resend supports email delivery; and OpenAI Sites hosts the website. These providers process information to perform services for KEROSE under their own security and privacy commitments.
Choices and removal requests
KEROSE event and remembrance emails are enabled when an account is created. Account holders can turn them off from the Account page or use the one-step unsubscribe link included in every non-account email. Essential security, order, and submission messages may still be sent when needed. A family member may request a correction, removal, or review of a tribute, photograph, or comment by emailing kerose22@icloud.com. We may ask for information needed to verify the requester’s connection or authority.
Retention and security
We keep information only as reasonably necessary to provide KEROSE services, preserve approved remembrances, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use access controls, private storage for pending submissions, moderation, and security limits. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Children and updates
KEROSE is not intended for children under 13 to create accounts or submit information without a parent or guardian. We may update this notice as the service grows and will change the effective date when we do.
